My team was responsible for responding to tickets that have been flagged as Cyber Kill Chain phases 5-7, in other words, the higher-level incidents. Outside of familiarizing myself with our ticketing process, I was also involved in various projects, including building detections for our endpoint solution, and developing a process injection tool using the Rust programming language to simulate red team events.
I got my internship by cold applying when I saw the position open up on Linkedin.
Aside from instilling in me a sense of professionalism that I carried into my interview and my subsequent internship, I was also able to apply the networking skills I gained from AKPsi to really make the most out of my experience by connecting with my team on a deeper level.
I really loved the flexibility and emphasis on employee growth that PwC fosters. As a result, I was included in projects based on my interest on various aspects of my role, rather than purely being fitted within the mold of my job description. I also loved that despite my role being fully remote, PwC still provided endless opportunities for me to interact with my coworkers in-person, sponsoring dinners, socials, and even trips to Disneyland!
My time with PwC really taught me to take full advantage of every opportunity of being outside of my comfort zone. Though intimidating, I made the largest strides in technical and personal growth when I took a chance with projects that I had no experience with.
